Hi all,
I don't think this post merits a photo, as it would be of a very messy house and bare floor. We are in preparation for our new carpet, to be installed on Tuesday the 28th. The teddy bear room is no longer a magic place for teddies. It is reduced to a computer sitting on a card table, an airmattress to sit on and a couple of plastic totes containing miscellaneous tools, extension cords, nails and other odds and ends that don't have a real home.
All the teddy bears, potential bears, bear bags, mohair, scraps of fabric, and all my other "stuff" is packed (somewhat neatly) and is currently being stored in our garage.
We finished tearing out the old carpet today -- now I get work on the walls, repairing old nail holes and making plans for my spanking new "re-do" of the teddy bear room and our living room. I am so excited!
I'll be back with pictures of two new teddies that are in the final stages of completion when things get back to normal. I will, however, continue to check in with all of you to keep track of your activities, at least until I have to abandon ship entirely here in the teddy bear room and unhook my computer. In the meantime, I may find my camera in all this upheaval and take a picture of the progress as it takes place.

Yes yes, Vicki...Take some pix! That is, if you can find your camera. I'd love to see the work in progress! I'm sure all your hard work, and the upheaval, will be worth it in the end. I hope you don't get 'unhooked' for long. I'd miss you!

ReplyDeleteHi Laura, I found the camera.... now I have to find that cord thingie that hooks from the camera to the computer... I think it is in this little box here. I really don't like being in this state of upheaval, but it will all be "magic" in the end. Hugs from Vicki
