Skipper Sebring

1000SkipPic

I have just completed the most delightful “assignment.”

Skipper is one of the sweetest little poodle pups I have ever met, at least by photo. His Mom has written a book called “Deanie and Skips Flying Bike Trip.”

Since many people think that little Skipper looks like a teddy bear, Deanie thought it was a great idea to have a teddy bear made to order in the likeness of her little dog. And I was thrilled to be chosen to create the look-alike!

Deanie will be self-publishing her book in the near future and I will provide links when available. For now little Skipper does have a Facebook page and Twitter account for anyone who is interested in following his adventures.

Skipper

Is he not just the cutest little guy. I wish his Mom best of luck with her book and I’ll pass along any information I receive on how to get your own copy.

Thanks for coming by my blog!

The process of aging…

VickiDadPat1953

Having recently (almost a year ago) celebrated (no pun intended) my 60th birthday, I am almost obsessed with the process of aging.

You see, I don’t feel any different than I ever did. Oh, other than the usual aches and pains and not being able to keep up like I used to…

I mean I still feel like a kid inside.

And a teenager at times.

And an old lady, too.

I remember when I was really a kid. I thought old people were really “old people.” I didn’t realize that they were just kids hanging out in old bodies.

What an odd set of circumstances.

I have a totally different view of aging now than I did when I was in that “forever young” state.

I now understand what “they” meant when “they” said “youth is wasted on the young.” Because it certainly was wasted on me.

It didn’t occur to me I was getting older until I hit 50.

And to top it all off, this all happened in what seems like an overnight.

My husband and I were in Hawaii last November. I looked around and commented on the age of most of the people walking around the tourist trap that we were walking around in. My comment was thus, “wow, there are sure a lot of old people around here,” and he replied, “and so are we.” I almost laughed and cried at the same time.

And so, with all of that, hang on to your hats, my friends. For this is a fast ride and if you blink you might miss it!
