Jin the Panda

Every once in a while, one of these guys really does capture me. And Jin did it. So, before he moves away, I wanted to post his pictures here on my blog and show him off a little.

I tried to photo him for over two hours here in the teddy bear room, with the lights this way and that. But nothing was working the way I would have liked it.

Finally I just flat took him outside and placed him in various flower beds. He seemed to like that quite well, as his pictures turned out just fine.

Hope all of you are enjoying springtime. We are still waiting for the warm weather to arrive. Hopefully soon!

We sure get a lot done around here when it rains in Juneau like it has been for most of the month of May.

I do see some sunshine predicted for later this week, though. Yay!! Hope the weather people are right. If not, I’ll just have to hunker down and turn out a few more bear faces. Now that can’t be all bad, can it?

First of Eight.. my name is Blake!

Introducing the first of eight bears in various stages of construction siting here on my work table. I am pleased to announce my most recent creation, Blake, just in time for that very special Mother on Mother’s Day.

He really is the cutest little guy. Made from an Alpaca blend and sporting my handmade polymer clay bear paws.

He is six inches (15.24 cm) tall and weighs 5 ounces (.1417 kg).

He is carrying a sweet little bouquet of white silk flowers,

and is simply adorned with his own private padlock.

He is currently available for sale in my Etsy shop.

If it keeps raining here in Alaska, I’ll have my other bears finished very soon.
